Winners of 2012 Society Excellence Awards Announced by CFA Institute

02 July 2012 - New York - Twelve local societies have been named winners in CFA Institute’s 2012 Society Excellence Awards Program. The awards program recognizes the work and dedication shown by CFA societies and volunteers in several categories, including Best Outreach and Awareness Campaign, Best Collaborative Initiative, and Best Member Communications. Two of the twelve societies, Italy and India, were selected as honorees in two separate categories.

Globally there are 136 affiliated CFA Institute societies in 58 countries. Each society serves a crucial role in supporting the CFA Institute mission on a local, country, or statewide level by organizing member education and networking opportunities and by forming working partnerships with universities, employers, and the media.

“We take great pride in honoring our societies and the volunteers who dedicate so much time to local initiatives,” noted Chip Deale, head, Society Relations. “We congratulate these twelve societies who deserve these awards, and we also thank each and every society for the high standard of service, hard work, and dedication that they put in to supporting the CFA Institute mission.”
