Our company is an
independent Mezzanine fund active on the
European market, with special focus on Italy. The fund focuses on mid-market companies, making mezzanine financings and equity investments in support of both entrepreneurs and private equity operators. The fund provides capital to support recapitalizations, acquisitions, expansions, and management buyouts.
Job Description
Our company is seeking an
analyst to join its team, in view of the launch of its second Mezzanine fund. Primary responsibilities include:
• The
screening and evaluation of new investment opportunities, including: i) analysis of industries; ii)business and financial due diligence of prospect investments; iii) financial modeling of the investment iv) preparing written investment recommendations for the fund investment committee.
• Work as part of a team to develop the marketing material and contractual documentation
supporting the fund raising activity, including: i) preparing written investment memorandum and presentations of the fund ii) performing quantitative analysis on the investment performance of the fund; iii) analysis of competitors; iv) general trends in mezzanine finance.
Requirements
•
BA/BS required (Economics, Accounting, Business or Finance preferred).
•
24 to 28 years old, with minimum of two-years experience in finance, investment banking, financial consulting, equity research or private equity is required.
• Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of
Excel (modeling skills required), Word, PowerPoint and the ability to conduct research.
• Must have strong written and oral communications skills in
Italian and English (knowledge of an additional European language is a plus).
• Must be
proactive on assignments/projects and demonstrate ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must be able to complete projects
on time and accurately and be able to multi-task.
• Candidate must have a strong
work ethic, professional demeanor and appearance.
Notes
The job position initially offered is an internship. Based on performance achieved and integration with the team, an offer for a full time position will be considered.
