SAM has been one of the pioneers in Sustainability Investing since 1995 and is one of the market leaders when it comes to integrating financial and sustainability insights into a structured investment process. The SAM research underpins the globally recognized Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI).
The SAM Smart Materials Strategy focuses on the mechanisms driving real commodity prices over time, by investing mainly in innovative materials that substitute traditional ones, as well as technologies that deliver productivity gains in resource extraction, processing, and usage.
The SAM Sustainable Beta Strategy is a combination of corporate sustainability analysis with the selection of low risky stocks. Sustainability leaders have a better risk profile due to the higher quality of the management, better awareness of the long term perspective, enhanced planning capabilities and privileged access to capital markets.
